A truly admirable historical monument! You can have a pretty graphic and picturesque trail through the castle but be aware it can be slippery and it's rocky. The view pays!

8€ entrance fee. Completely worth it. Wonderful views of the surrounding areas. Interesting write ups explaining the significance of the fortress

If you are short on time, drive to the entrance. Hurry towards the St Andrews bastion. Turn the corner and be prepared to be in awe of the beautiful entrance. We only had 20 mins but saw much.

The 999 steps are well worth the effort as the citadel itself is a wonderful place to explore and the views from the top are incredible. There are good toilets but there was nowhere to get a drink.

Very well maintained castle, amazing view, definiteely a must-see if you are visiting Nafplio or the areas close by!

sehr ausgedehnte Anlage mit prächtigem Blick nach allen Seiten; der Aufstieg zu Fuß über die Treppen lohnt sich für den schönen Blick über den Ort
