The shrine was built on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the capital's foundation in Kyoto. Free admission. Giant torii gate made of reinforced concrete in front of the shrine. О_о

A really beautiful shrine and garden, whose rock pond was famously featured in Lost in Translation

Beautiful garden behind the shrine. It costs small entrance fee what also prevents too much tourists entering it. So don’t tell anyone ????
